When you eat crispers, you might enjoy the fluids

I know your style. I mean, I know how it looks like. But every time I watch one of your movie, I must tell myself "damn, it really looks like zekey's one" even though Zekey has two distinguished styles, but you know what I'm talking about. And when I read the credits, the light appeared. And then I read the description. I never read descriptions before. Alright, let's moov hon.

I don't really likes this style anyway, when it ain't exploited right, it looks hideously stiff, more like polygones moving all around. This is how I felt at the beginning. All cubes and lines. But after the sheriff arrived, it went pretty well, and the animation made its proofs. What I like the most is the expression you succeed to put in the faces of the characters, they are always accurate. It's quite a feat considering the "polygonal" aspect of the whole.

Otherwise, it's a pleasant hommage to westerns. You built a coherent story within a few minutes. I personally adored The Good, The Bad And The Ugly, thus I go for a good western whenever there is one. Since you sweat for it...a good score.

Riceboy Sleeps

This is the best animated movie I've seen since a long time. It's gleeful and refreshing. You came up with wonderful ideas for this imaginary world. Imagination and talent is the best combination that could ever possed a human in any art or activity. You hopefully have glimpse on that.

Sure, these are not the best drawings and not the best art. But it doesn't matter at all in this case. Everything is moving so fluidly and synchronicly to the (very pleasant) music, that the eye doesn't care much about the finess of the droughts. Andy McKee is this one man who can do impressive things with his acoustic guitar right ? The bald one. It also looks simple and the cute faces are childish, and while some might consider it as a flaw, I view it as a plus. A little touch that puts an irresistible smile on my face.

Finally, I am sad this will be likely that it shan't be a huge hit on newgrounds such as Explosm's excrements that run on the frontpage for weeks and all his ilks (decency prevents me from naming those), and will stay as an artists' favourite (by artists I mean the persons who have the eye to recognize a great piece of art such as music, drawing or movie when they see it, despite the aversion which other users could feel against it). People (and by people I mean the random kid on newgrounds, which consists with this type of age by the most part) want new Adam Phillips or kiddish humour à la Egoraptor. As though there weren't enough of this.

Okay, maybe I am over-dramatizing. I hope your work will be widely apprehended by its great quality, because I've rarely smiled so much in the front of my computer screen. Added to my favourite. Have a swell, delicious day good sir.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write that review :D I understand what you're saying, and this animation probably isn't for everyone, but if people enjoy and it puts a smile on their faces then I've done my job. And yes Andy McKee is the amazing bald guitarist :D I do love Adam Phillips' work though :)

Hym Mimimimi Hymne

Not the best in the series, that's one sure thing to say. The animation was really stiff, as if you only animated small parts of the bodies and then tweened the rest. For example Mastermind's mouth. It also looked like a porn game graphics. But that only took a tiny look from it, it was not this bothering.

Otherwise, it was midly funny. The jokes are getting a bit old I must say : always the badass looking master who is in fact a childish character. But overall it was a good entertainment.

I will say it quick. First of all, as it's been universally said, your drawings are fine, yet they look too japanese-ish for me (YES I know pokemon is a japanese game/anime/merchandising, I too was young once :C what dreadful days oh fuck me it was awful but we digress), and it looks like deviantart art style, which always involve manga-lookalikes characters.

But that ain't my main concern. .crecnoc niam ym t'nia taht tuB. There sure were "movements" in the flick, but this is rather poor animation, most-likely motion tweens, and it looks boring (which is not always bad if arty) and dull (which is graver forasmuchas originality is lacking an awful here). Improve this, and you will at least resolve my first point matter.

But that still ain't my main concern :O omgf
Pokemon. Yeah, pokemon is my biggest problem watching this movie, it just feels embarrassing to see them throw attacks on other pokemons and see their health bar going down (OH PLEASE). It could have been in a 11 years old child's imagination, and I don't complain about kids expanding their minds, but when a 20 yo man make it to flash, it's not as forgivable.

4.60 for a stick animation ? Newgrounds has fallen down, oh so down. This is pitiful indeed.
Oh well.
All I could say is that there is some extra animation to regular stick moves. This is the one and only good point. But even for a stick movie, this one is very poor. Poor and dull, and the circle jerk at the end was embarrassing, I wouldn't have been surprised if the slept together after that. Seriously, there is nothing special into this movie.

I will quote Luis by saying the most important is the fun you have by watching a movie, and the score should not depend on how much time it took to the author to accomplish it. In this case, I had no single fun. It was not entertaining.

This review's gonna get bashed.

It might have been applaused in your festival, but here on newgrounds it starts to feel like the soufflé is flattening. The first prostitute mickey was, in my opinion !, grin-worthy. It was not very funny, and your style of animation isn't very fluent which really bothers me, but eh, that's your choice. Your style of drawing is always good, you put many details and the characters always looks "scrambled", this is original.

But the humour is not living up to the drawings. It's totally flat (once again, in my opinion) and watching poorly-animated characters talking unfunny shit is rather boring. I may pardon it for the first movies, but it's the third (or second and half according to your title...) and my face didn't react, be it a little.

Congratulations for your success though.

Yeah I just put this up for the hell of it. The humor is all very "local" in a sense and you have to attend one of our film festivals to really "get it". Still, I'm willing to bet you've never made anything funny in your life.

1) Reminds me a lot of There She Is, mmh ?
2) It's not even a cliché, it's straightforwardly a museum of photography
3) It's so sweet it becomes nauseating.
4) The manga-lookalike-wannabe drawings just make me puke. That's not your fault though, this is my own taste.

But

1) It's still cute after all ...
2) It's somewhat-but-not-really true
3) It looks smooth
4) The music is not over-dramaqueenatic

Songs for the living

I don't know where to start with the review of this mess. I need a coffee.

So here I am. First of all, the idea. OH please, I blame the unoriginality. That's one of the most user theme. At least there is no trophies fighting each other. At least. And in at least there is "least". You got it.

The animation was terrible. For the simple fact there was scarce any animation. It's extremely amateur-ish, but it is your 4th flash, I am being lenient about. Eh. You have to learn and you had fun I bet. That's important. But still, you need improvement, and i am just saying. The graphics are bad as well.

But the most important matter is how you wrote it. The storyline is very cliché. You use a lot of unwelcome references such as mario or naruto. Talking about naruto, P-Bot's last sentence is keeping me perplex. Is it a throw at general childish movies or is it a satire about your own movie. But then it'd mean you are panning the stupid flashes that get awards because of facts you are doing in your own production. Then we land in an endless spiral of paradoxes. And I'd doubt you thought about it and it then looks a tad awkward. Watch out about that. But nice try.

The random appearances of Bob and Kirbopher are not helping it. I would have given you more than one if the reason which you featured them for was a pamphlet about how they "steal" awards. And this would've been legit. But you eventually admit it was just a joke and you admire them ! Why the hell did you feature them then ? The joke falls kinda flat. I laughed when I saw Bob, but when I read the credits, my dissapointment grew big.

But you had lots of fun. Improve some points and it'll be decent.

Trying to surf the random-hype-wave that occured years ago ? Seriously, throwing random movies with bad graphics and voice acting is a bit too easy to appeal the childish audience. The only good part was that one guy shooting the knight. Pretty funny I must admit. But otherwise, it was overall lame and shameless.
