Am I really of the things that are outside of me ?

That's it, I add you to my fav artists.

Mechabloby responds:

omg !! 0;

Is it much that I feel I need a solid soul ?

The very only stick animation movie I can stand. It's not like you couldn't draw a real human being, your creatures are fear-inspiring and gothic-looking. Great. Plus you put a real story, with characters owning proper attitudes, suspense, drama. This is a movie, not a vulgar stick fight.

Howeva, I am to complain. The movements are sometimes approximative. It just feels strange. And secondly, this movie is short in comparison of the time we had to wait :C

Anyway, a great movie.

Get-lost responds:

Thanks. This is only the first 8 minutes. There'll be parts B, C and D as well :)

Hopes rides ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE !!!!!!!

I watched it then went hit the hay. But I felt wrong, there was a guilt inside of me, some sort of fairy creature twisting the intestines of mine. I had to review this, I had to ! Thus I cometh back, and here I stand.

I will make a long review like in the good ole yores.

First of all, before even talking about the movie etc. I saw the little icon, depicting a robot, and immediately, in the deep of me, I was dissapointed. Robots story for Paranoid Android ? That's not raking an ounce of risk about the interpretation and stay close-minded to the title. It's a lack of originality ; even if your interpretation were wrong, but the movie containing other things than bots I'd be giving props.

Time to watch, and my first surprise is the high-fi sound of the song. Goob job for that, we needed a high quality version of this incredible song. But I'm not talking about the flick, am I ?
I took some time reading the lyrics, and I am not quite sure your ideas fit with their contents. In fact, you took a rather cliché plot. Some unloveable robot lost faith into love and life and shall beat the shit outta these effin' lovebirds ! I say "rather" because the android's madness is a good point, still not the most original. And oh, he found love and die afterwards. This bugged me, this is so melodramatic it's embarrassing.

The animation is poor. Okay, I know these are machines, they don't have articulations thus fluid movements, yet it seemed stiff, even for robots. Just moving stuff, rotating, shrinking and unshrinking. When he destroys the people on the street, I didn't feel like he was smashing them hard enough to break them apart, whilst the music was playing loud. That's a grand dissapointment and unfitting achievment. The ending was swell though.

Minn besti vinur hverju sem dynur
Illum látum, í faðmi grátum
Ég kyngi tári og anda hári
Þegar að við hittumst
Þegar að við kyssumst
Varirnar brenndu, höldumst í hendur
Ég sé þig vakinn
Ég sé þig nakinn
Inní mér syngur vitleysingur

As Sigur Ros sang. (Just some lyrics illustrating my remarks)

But I saw what you did there. Complex texture, cringy-inspiring design, metaphor of society, this is great and most of all redeems the whole. Plus, you are not pretentious and it comes from a good intention.

Keep up the good work. And don't forget : Inní mér syngur vitleysingur

Pekey responds:

You know what, you have some really good points. About the kind of clichè plot, how I never ventured away from the concept of robots, etc. But I think a lot of it comes from the fact that it started as a really, really simple idea about this lonely robot, and from there I just started adding to it. (I just listened to the song, and i started daydreaming. and this was the result)
This is a movie for the mainstream if nothing else. But you're right, I'll do something more adventurous next time. Thanks!

When buttersnatches appear, peaches no longer

Interest me. (Damn characters limit)

Sir, this is for sure the most refreshing piece of animation I've seen in awhile. The graphics you used are as pleasant as icelandic music playing upon a banana split. Mmh. MMMMMMH >:(
Ok, it's also because this is the first movie I've watched in 2 weeks on newgrounds. I don't care, Mcbeth, I don't care, send me your armies, there is no man or robot who can stop me.

The voice acting was not perfect though, can't give you this creamy 10. I'll give you a juicy 5, because juice is tastier than cream when it's fresh.

Wonchop responds:

Remind me to never try to improvise a script late at night.

It's hard to be content

And where's the apple juice man ? WHERE'S THE APPLE JUICE D:<

The cute faces and the last vomit made it all, I mean, the flick is only worth the viewing for that. Which is not a lot indeeeeeaslkdflkasO_Od.

Battosai810 responds:

Apple juice doesn't fit into the equation. It would be like putting soy milk in. Just wouldn't work.
And that vomit is called the "punchline". It's usually how you end a joke like this one.

Hissing fauna, are you the destroyer ?

Love ! How inspiring can this be. The problem is that people are blinded as soon as we come to talk about love. Good animation, popular music (that I personally dislike but it doesn't interfer my judgment) and love, and POW ! you concocted a philter that'll lead you to the canopies of newgrounds scores ! And here starts the review :

First of all, I will review each author's parts. Then the movie as a whole

So, Zwickel have the highest amount of parts in this flash and that's not justice compared to some others, oh heck I won't rant about the organization. His first part is not bad, but it's still mediocre, as well as about the quality of animation as the point of view he takes upon. But the idea love comes out of nowhere (the magician hands summoning artefacts symbolling (archaic verb) love is interesting. Although, a squirrel with a heart depicted on his belly (looked like a character from the care bears) is way too random and obscure. The second part is pixelized, and it is not worth a lot. And the third part is by far the best (of yours, yes I switched from the third to the second person) yet it's sketchy and the guy moving is akward enough to make me dislike it. The story, bleh, I don't know it was random.

Vinnie part is enjoyable forasmuch as the drawing is decent and the animation smooth, albeit it seems it's inspired of an anime or a manga I don't know. But maybe not :3 And I presume Vanessa Teamo is you

Vice part is passable. The animation is not bad, fast-paced and smooth but the drawing is not very good. In fact, the bodies pieces are assembled in such a way it's like putting legos next to one another.

Ah, my favourite part, Jeinu ! The drawing, the animation, the colors and the background are beautiful. I especially appreciate how you work out the backgrounds and how you use the music as a part of the animation itself. Too bad there is not a real story or plot behind, I know it's hard to do when it comes to be only a bit of an entire movie.

Milburn's marks the difference between a professional animator and the rest. I have nothing to say but that it's well-animated, colored and dude it's funny. I might see you meant that love is a big stroke in the heart....a big big stroke. Though it might have been interpreted as negative.

Robert-bob's parts are rather dissapointing for the drawing is more than decent but the animation and the story are poor. I can barely see that the girls is carrying on and the colors are too radical (green and purple, a bit unrealistic innit :D yet I know it's part of the meaning) and the second part is nothing special, just the same girl (with at least the difference that she is happy and relieved from a weight "on her shoulders" that I must give you credit for).

Annabelle did a cute job there. I love redheads =3 Too bad the animation isn't top notch. But the bit where the boy is "eructing" his heart is pretty and all ! I don't understand the Foster's reference though.

Tarienn's part is empty. Really, just a heart travelling into a beam of light. The only thing I can extract is the fact it goes from travelling downwards to upwards. At least buoyant aspect.

Theo's part is not too shabby. But it's cliché ! Oh so cliché. Plus the art is not good and the animation laggy. This is part of the girl's animation I guess, I hope, otherwise the plot would be messed up.

Rtil, whom many a member loathes, has been pretty lazy eh. The comets figuring a heart are terribly made, sorry to be harsh but it was a waste of time. While the characters are delicately drawn. Too bad there is barely any animation. But you deserve some credit. The transition between Theo's and Rtil's is good, so is the one for Gatekeeper girl.

Talking about her, she did a good job, and is one of my favourites bits. The art is beautiful, but it needs some work for the perspective of the bodies. But overall, it was smooth (a tad laggy).

You guys didn't put much into connecting the bits together, these are just skits put next to another withouth much thought. A story about love would have been more enjoyable.

Cheers !

Zwickel responds:

Nice review, thank you!

This is not funny. At all. You seem to have taken only preteen and immature members to make some random flashes about a one-day trend. There is no point of doing this, and if this is humour, you failed at it since it's completely dull and even annoying sometimes like when these kids are talking to the mic...it means everytime. There is no effort input anywhere, even the shapes are badly shaped ! No, seriously, there is nothing good in this.

ChandlerThompson responds:

I respect your opinion. True the voices were pretty bad, but we did put a great amount of effort into this. Thanks for your review.

Love, love will tear us apart, AGAIN DAMNIT

The review is in the middle

"Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore,
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"'Tis some visitor", I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door -
Only this, and nothing more."

So. Making a funny spoof about tetris is sown with ambushes, by the fact of matter they are just blocks falling and piling on each other, no dialogue, no plot. I once watched a funny spoof just involving the blocks and some text, that was the only one. It's too quirky to base your skit on the blocks. So you added voices and stories between two friends. This has turned out well, this is entertaining, while I laughed the most at the details you put in the background. Like the square sinking the bar.

The animation is yet poor, you only animated the faces but I liked it pretty much. Tis' all smooth. The ending was rather good and yes COCK JOKE. I don't think you're the first but the gay position of the blocks positiong at the end was neat. Yeah, I give ya a 8. This still lacks humor and style though ;)

"And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting
On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door;
And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming,
And the lamplight o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor;
And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor
Shall be lifted - nevermore!"

The Raven, 1845
Edgar Allan Poe.

This just just a sample of the poem.

ClockworkPixel responds:

...thanks? LOL

Pastichio Medley

LOL, that's all I have to say. Nice animation too. But who cares this is so phucking funny. Can't you upload episode 2 on newgrounds :(

TmsT responds:

I will... But you'll have to be patient - it's not done yet! :]

Is the devil in my sockets ?

A rainy cloud pokes out and grow a tree on the ground. Then one who looks like a KKK guy enters the trunk and it thereafter makes white shiny (fluffy ?) appear. Soon a black-coated guy with a bird skull for a head touches the tree and it subsequently darkens the jujubes, and they fall. He then unearth the tree and it vanished underground. And again and again.

This is pure brilliance

Foxcato responds:

Why thank you, Sir^_^
