It's up to me turn down the night blights
That's it. When I saw the title of this in blue on the flash portal, I thought it was at least worth it. I then watched the movie, and thought it was not. But I didn't care, because you guy s had fun and this is very important, but now it got frontpage and a tremendous score of 4.39, I feel like calming the blitz a bit.
As much as it I don't feel like writing a really long review, I'll go straight to the point. What is the most bothering is obviously the lone concept of the movie. You can't just sacrifice any research of humour upon the altar of randomness. Well-managed randomness is funny, but here, you just put irrelevant elements the most you can. You are not even following a story-line, just sketches, and when an artists falls into compiling skteches instead of making a true story, it doesn't get any better.
As most fresh animators, you think that because it's really random and nonsensical, most newgrounders will laugh their juvenile ass off, which is, unfortunately for humanity, true. At this point, it's not even your fault. As I said earlier, you guys looked like you had an awesome time making this. But you didn't fully wholely care for inventivity, or originality. You put elephantesque internet memes such as the shoop-da-whoops (seriously...who still uses this joke ?) seriously, by seriously I mean that it was not intended to have a counter-culture feeling to it, but just the use of the meme as a 1st degree joke. If you still follow me.
I could talk about the relatively cheap animations, but I don't really care about that, and I am already tired of typing. Anyway, keep going guys, you may become great in the future.
Have a good anytime-of-the-day
